Grand words

I am a man of few words,
preferring to listen rather than speak.
Today however I choose to share,
rather than to keep.
I do not have stories to tell,
or words of wisdom to pass on.
What I do have is a void in my heart,
that will never fill.
My children’s future,
will include the past.
It is a promise I made,
to a grand man.
Memories are forever,
love will always last.
